Sasha Baskina is an interdisciplinary artist who explores paper, light and movement in creating books, installations, environments and performances. Underlayers is a cyanotype (antiquated non-silver photo process) photogram on Japanese rice lace paper. Underlayers deals with the sensuality and ephemeral nature of "women's work". The blue print quality of the work attempts to document the daily triumphs of our ordinary lives. |
